If you are a steam locomotive fan, this is a fantastic book! Details about locomotives are explained that you might spend a long time searching for even with today's internet. It describes locomotive appliances and how they operate, as well as the development of each improvement through steam's genesis. If you have any questions about steam locomotives I'm sure you will find answers here. My only complaint is the package my book was shipped in. For a $99 book, mine came banana shaped with bashed-in corners. Won't give it up though!
